Yogatherapy

Yoga Therapy is the application of the approach of Yoga for the integration and maintenance of health and welfare of human beings, covering not only aspects of the disease/imbalance, but mostly going toward balance of the individual and searching for solutions in order to maintain his health.

The practices are based in simple physical positions, breathing exercises, relaxation techniques and meditation.

The most important aspect of Yoga Therapy is the responsibility of the person for his own healing process. Therefore, it´s essential to understand correctly the practices that are made in each session, and its usefulness, so then you can do your practice daily at home, individually. This regular practice (although that does not require more than ten to fifteen minutes a day) is essential in order to obtain all the therapeutic benefits, and also has the merit of returning the person's ability to learn how to be fine, and the security of knowing that has at his disposal a set of exercises that can increase their quality of life and contribute to a healthy existence and filled with moments of well-being.

Within the concept of yogatherapy, we apply the Yoga in all aspects of mankind:
In the physical body creating freedom wit comfort and balance;
In the energy body, generating a free flow of energy through the whole being;
In the emotional body allowing humans the ability to keep the mind and emotions in balance before the stress;
In the mental body, allowing the choice for a life of self-knowledge, free from the constraints;
In the spiritual body, generating the healing that is experienced through a sense of integration and unity, with ourselves and with the universe around us.

The experience of freedom in all these levels leads to cure, however, it´s quite important to recognize that we are part of nature, of the creation, and also looking about why we are here.

Living with health in all its dimensions, reflects the degree of self-knowledge we have, which is grounded in spiritual values such as nonviolence, truth, compassion, purity, discipline.

It´s also important to emphasize that the yogateraphist not replace the physician, psychologist or phisiotherapist, even because Yoga and Yoga Therapy allows a wide and synergistic interaction with all these areas of healthcare.
